The Story

I grew up in Bhutan, surrounded by deep culture, tradition, and the values my parents taught me. Religion, art, discipline, identity - it’s all a part of me. That world shaped me. It still does.

But I’ve always been drawn to something else too. The art, creation, the modern aesthetic. I sketched a lot. I loved design. I admired the boldness of the modern world, the freedom, the rebellion, the quiet confidence.

And I wondered, how do I bring these two ideas together?

Because one feels grounded. The other feels wild. One is stillness. The other is motion.

Sometimes, people think we’ve forgotten our roots just because we don’t express them the way the older generation did. But we haven’t. We still love it, we just show it differently.

So I asked myself:

What can I do with what I feel? What I know? What I come from?

That’s how i started DAPA.
